What is high potential and gifted education?

High potential and gifted education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.

In our classroom

Our staff are committed to meeting the learning and wellbeing needs of all HPGE students. We offer:

  • Teaching and Learning programs with embedded differentiation strategies.
  • Opportunities for enrichment within formative and summative assessments.
  • Subject acceleration for high performing students.
Across our school

Our school has an HPGE team that promotes a high expectations culture across the school. Opportunities within the school for students to develop in all HPGE domains include extra-curricular activities, such as:

  • Haka Warriors, Maddfest
  • Debating, Public Speaking
  • Swimming carnival, Athletics Carnival, Cross Country and other sporting opportunities
  • Student Leadership Team, Peer Support program
Across NSW

Opportunities are available for students to develop in all HPGE domains through:

  • External partnerships to further develop creative capabilities.
  • Representative sport and external sport competitions.
  • Community partnerships to develop leadership capacity.
  • Student participation in external competitions and examinations.
