Autism Awareness Day 2019

02 April

8:25 AM-2:45 PM

Evans High School

Evans High School is home to a specialised support unit which caters to students with autism spectrum disorder. There are currently four autism support classes with student’s ages ranging from 12 to 18 years old. We will be celebrating Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2019 across our school.  This will involve: Students and teachers wearing ‘blue’ for the day with a gold coin donation to be handed in during roll call.  A barbeque to be held at lunch time, in which sausage sandwiches, cans of soft drink and spider drinks will be sold.  Information about autism spectrum disorder being taught to students in our school. Proceeds from the day will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organisation that provides a home away from home for seriously ill children and their families.
