Our seniors have a number of opportunities to develop their study skills, and to get support with their study and homework from our professional, supportive staff. Timetabled study periods allow students to work on their studies with the support of a teacher, and with access to a wide range of resources.
Our SENIOR STUDY ROOM in the library is available during recess and lunch for senior students, and provides access to computers, as well as a specialist library, complete with text books, syllabus documents, past exam papers, and study guides. Staff are constantly updating this collection to ensure that the resources are relevant and useful. If there is anything that you would like to see added to this collection, please let the library staff know.
To help your search for appropriate resources, all students have access to OLIVER, our library management system. This is available through your DET student portal, or you can log in to OLIVER here(select Evans High School from the drop-down menu if prompted).
During SENIOR STUDY PERIODS, students are required to complete school work. This may include completing assigned homework, working on assessment tasks, revising and summarising notes, or working on practice exams or essays. All staff have access to a wide range of resources, provided by subject teachers, to support you in your study. You can also access these resources HERE You will be taken to an Office365 log-in page - please log in using your school email address and password. user.name@education.nsw.gov.au for students. You can then save copies of any useful information to your own One Drive account.
If you need the use of a device (eg laptop, iPad) from the library during your study period, you are able to book these. This will help ensure that resources are available when needed. Please see Ms Rodgers in the library if you'd like to book a device for use in a study period. Alternatively, you can bring your own device from home, and staff will help you connect it to the school wifi.
