Course Overview:
The Stage 6 Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation course is a 2 Unit subject that develops in each student the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to adopt active and health promoting lifestyles. Students also develop their skills in a variety of sports, as well as to coach, train and referee sporting activities.

Preliminary Course
Throughout the Preliminary course, four modules are selected from the above list and are taught and assessed in a mostly practical based method.
Higher School Certificate Course
Throughout the HSC course, four different modules are selected from the above list and are taught and assessed in a mostly practical based method.

Fees:
There is a $10 fee that is included with this subject, which is used to buy textbooks and sporting equipment.
Recommendations:
It is recommended that students have interest and ability in particularly the practical component of the PDHPE course. This course may lead to a career in fitness coaching, personal training, sports management, physiotherapy and physical education careers.
